I've been neglecting posts in the past few months. Things have been a little crazy for me, but now it's crunch time. My parents bought me a backpack from MEC for my birthday, which I was very excited for. I'm planning to do some walking in it hopefully within the next few weeks to get used to it and break it in.
I received my Russian visa the other day. It's intense! One of my friends from YPM was quite jealous, and mused about how hard they are to come by. No big deal, I have one.
Weather here in MB is on a constant emotional rollercoaster. Today it was bright and sunny until five minutes ago. Now it's "severe weather warning". I'm hoping weather in Eastern Europe rocks this summer. And with less mosquitoes! One thing I will NOT miss.
I was looking at the website for the Hermitage today. The Western Europe Painting sections host a variety of some of my favourite artists- most noteworthy are Cezanne, Renoir, a van Gogh, and a MONET. One of my favourites by Monet actually. Oh, and another one of my favourite artists- Jaques Louis David. There's a couple da Vinci too, but I don't drool over the Italian greats as I do over French Impressionists & Post-Impressionists. Still, highly respectable work.
