Playlist: Something Corporate
On my way to Thunder Bay for my cousin's wedding today. It's been a long car ride; we still have two and a half more hours to go. My dad pulled out the Ukrainian polka CDs about an hour in and we've been listening to them since (just to put it in perspective, Winnipeg is an 8 hr drive to Thunder Bay). At hour 5 it was time to pull out my iPod!
The drive is a really beautiful one, to be honest. Gorgeous lakes and lots of Boreal foliage. And it's hilly, which is such a nice change from prairie.
It will be nice to see my dad's side of the family again. It's been about six years or so since the last big family wedding on that side. Plus, it's a Ukrainian wedding! This means lots of drinking (and open bar) and a lot of great food! My friend Sanche is coming with me to the wedding, which is a guaranteed fun time. On Sunday, Sanche and I are going to his girlfriend Amanda's cabin, which will be tons if fun! I'm excited to see Amanda again, I've only met her once and I really like her. It will be good to see Sanche again too I suppose... Haha, kidding. I am very excited to see everyone!
I really need a drink once we get to the hotel... This long in a car is driving me a little stir-crazy.
