Toronto, Toronto, Toronto.

Ah, Toronto! What to say, where to begin? Well, let's start with Monday. Sanche and I got up at 5am to head to the airport. When I arrived in Toronto, I sat gingerly on a bench waiting for Jess. My sunburn was pretty angry, I had a lot of trouble putting my backpack on! But it's no one's fault but my own... Anyway, Jess arrived and we headed to our hostel to drop off our things, and then we headed to Yonge-Dundas square to my VAC appointment. Things went well there and they sent my passport to Ottawa, so hopefully I hear in 2-3 weeks whether or not I get my passport. We went back o the hostel, checked in and had a snooze. We walked around a bit looking for dinner and found a place that had a $5 martini special (priorities) so we had some awesome goat cheese salad and a couple of tasty martinis (Ocean's Eleven: vodka, melon liqueur, top with splash of 7up and orange... Delicious!). That evening we chilled on the hostel bar patio and chatted with John from Melbourne (30-something yoga devotee, quit his corporate job to find himself), Mary from San Francisco (nanny on vacation), and First from Zimbabwe (businessman finding his fortune in Toronto). The night was filled with great conversation! We went to bed early for an action packed day on Tuesday.
