What is it about Magic that captivates us?
Today, as I write this, I am experiencing a truly magical journey. I am riding the Hogwarts express.
Well, not exactly the Hogwarts express. I am riding a steam engine train of the company that built the Hogwarts Express on the route used in the Harry Potter films.
So yeah, I'm pretty much riding the Hogwarts Express.
It's full of muggles though.
I'm also listening to the Harry Potter soundtracks as I take this journey, so it makes it that much more magical! I actually had to suppress giggles of joy as the opening notes of Hedwig's Theme played in my ears and the train started to move. I'm most likely the biggest geek on this train right now... As I said, lots of muggles.
It is said that Hogwarts is rumoured to be somewhere in the Scottish Highlands. Now, if Director Christopher Columbus and JK Rowling (let's be serious here, we all know she's a member of the wizarding world.) had a tip-off (except that Jo would actually know where it is) as to where Hogwarts really is, it would be logical to infer that Hogwarts, if films be somewhat accurate and in trusting JK Rowling's knowledge of the places she writes about, will most likely be somewhere near Mallaig. Which also mean that one of the surrounding remote towns may in fact be Hogsmeade. Just sayin'.
This is really the most magical day of my life. Ah, I wish Jess was here! Then we could totally geek out. I'm on such a Harry Potter high right now. Eeeeeeee!
Mischief managed.
Location:Hogwarts.
